E'lain's pregnancy was accidental when she escaped from the cage during the boy's free-range time. I caught them in the act. E'lain gave birth to this litter when she was 9 months old. I called E'lain my "Little Hershey Bar" because she was my first Chocolate- colored rat. Naturally her babies would be her "Hershey's Kisses".

I'kea's most endearing quality: I'kea was nicknamed after a celebrity Ratlist Rat, but she has certainly lived up to the name. I'kea is always the last one to go back to the cage after free-range time. I always have to look for her....but I know where to find her now....she'll either be in the dirty bedding hamper, or in the garbage bag....Ewwwwwwww! Icky Rat!

Their bodies held in storage in the freezer, awaiting this day,
the Hershey's Kisses were cremated, their ashes mingled,
and returned to me, August 19,2005
